This course is an introduction to boating safety and sailing specific safety. It then works through CYA mandated skills so that one can work towards the internationally recognized White Sail III certification. Topics to be covered include: knots, points of sail, capsizing, basic helming skills, terminology and much more. With lots of on-the-water practice this course is an exceptional introduction to the sport of sailing.
CANSail 1&2 runs on Saturdays in the Spring (May 06-June 17), Summer (July 08-August 19), and Fall (September 02-Oct 14). There will be one theory lesson in the evening on the Monday after the first practical lesson. Exact dates can be found on our website at http://rpsa.ca/programs/adults
